Escaping North Korea

Good Morning

As I was looking/seeking/wondering which country we are to hone in on this week, I kept coming back to Korea.
I kept thinking of what it would be like if I was raising a family in North Korea today. And then I thought about the stark contrast between North and South Korea.

There are people who sneak across the border from N. Korea into China. If caught in China they will be returned to N. Korea where they are almost always tortured and then forgotten about in prison, or they are killed.
In order to be safe, they have to make their way from the Chinese/N. Korean border all the way to the SW part of China [Yunnan Province]. That is like traveling from Maine to LA. They travel by train or bus or any way they can and hope they don't get caught. They then must cross into Laos or Myanmar [Burma] and then cross into Thailand, where they can finally feel relatively safe. Most then eventually end up in South Korea.
Oh, and even if they do make it to safety, usually, family members left behind in N. Korea. are severely punished.

Meanwhile, in S. Korea, most of the people flourish, the Christian community continues to impact the world as the S. Koreans send out missionaries around the world. They have many working in China.

So, please continue to pray for North Korea and pray for the unity of the Koreas and that God will make it a great Christian nation to be used for His honor and glory.

Sorry this is so long. The main thing it to PRAY FOR KOREA.

All praise to His Holy Name

LeRoy
